Went to work for a week in Connecticut and returned to Maine for two more weeks of bottle diving.

On the first dive I had really poor visibility, could not see more than 5', but found a very nice bottle. The bottle is my first balsam!

It reads, "Vegetable Pulmonary Balsam". The really cool thing is that the "G" in vegetable is upside down. The bottle is nicely whittled but does have one problem. The lip is damaged with about one-third of the applied lip missing. I believe I can repair it as the bottle is clear and I would not have to color match.

I'm at the local library so I can't upload a photo. I also have limited time to stay on-line.

I'll check back from time-to-time with further reports.

Back at work for a bit before I head back out for two more weeks of bottle diving. Anyway here is the balsam:

The "G" in vegetable is upside down.

The lip is damaged and I'll likely try and fix it.
