Well, didn't I have a day yesterday! Bin to this spot countless times over the years - we call it "The Field of Shattered Dreams" as the bottom is littered with old smashed glass and crockery. So, there I was, scanning the field for possibilities, when a glint of blue caught my eye; investigating, I was gobsmacked to see an intact siphon, sitting 3' off the bottom, cradled by a stack of current-assembled logs! Only the 2nd intact item I've ever found there! How it survived, and how it climbed the woodpile, I'll never know. It is a Pilgrim Bros. siphon, with the classic eagle crest. Just a bit of road rash for 120 years of submersion. Wonders never cease! Also shown is a pretty blue inkwell, which now acts as a stand for the marble; and, a piece of a quart bottle, saying "Bottling Works":
