hi everyone, a year ago i dug a med bottle embossed bacon. last sun. i bought 4 boxes of bottles. in one of the boxes i found the little brother to the one i dug. embossed clg. co. on base. thanks for looking, rhona

best cooked in the oven on a rack

thats how my wife cooks it. I thought it was odd.
is that an italian thing?

I always cooked it in an iron skillet then used the grease to fry the eggs.

Cool bottles Rhona. I haven't seen those. I don't have an oven at the moment, so I do bacon in a grill pan. I like it very crispy. The microwave is the easiest if you have one that works[;)]. Then, I save the grease for suet cakes for the birds. Bacon makes everything better.

Those are neat bottles. There is also a very rare cobalt irregular hexagon poison bottle with the exact same embossing. That bottle was also made by Carr-Lowrey Glass Co. ~Jim

hi matt, lobey,charlie, laur and jim. MMM bacon is right. my bacon bottle was found with a drugist bottle, peabody pharmacy, ephraim bacon, calverts st., was not listed in balt. book. though it was great to find a relative[:D]. jim, thanks for the information on the cobalt poison, that's one i would like to find. thanks for looking. rhona
