An interesting small Gilbert Brothers bottle from Baltimore. You see the large flasks often but the small ones arent too common. This one has a local label from Dr Aughinbaugh's Drugstore in Hagerstown MD. Is marked red coloring and there is still some red dye stains in the bottom.

What were the contents Matt? Looks like a pinkish purple? Was it a med??[8|]

Man, thats just a nice little bottle. Love older labled bottles.

Apparently it was some type of food coloring or dye. I think Gilbert Brothers produced extacts amound other products. I've seen a couple of the larger flasks with paper labels that indicated they we liniments. Maybe some of the Baltimore folks have some info on them.
