Saw this bottle today in an antique store in Van Buren, AR. Couldnt pass it up, the label was just too cool. There is a small sponge still attached to the cork via a long metal rod in order to apply the shoe polish.

Anyone that has any extra info on it would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way to preserve the paper label? Eventually through time the acid in the paper will react with oxygen enough to totally destroy it. There must be some way to preserve it hopefully.
