Question about Hoffs bottle

Hi Everyone
I was in a local antique store today and saw a Johann Hoffs bottle. It was in real good condition, no chips, cracks or scratches. Just needs some cleaning. It was piced at $8. I was thinking of buying it but figured that I would consult the forum to see if this was a good price or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anthony...what color was it?...Amber or green?...the green is the common color around here...5-10 dollars is the usual price we see.

Thanks for the reply. The color is pretty dark and I didn't hold it up to light to check but I think it might be green. What would be the value if it was amber?

Amber?...Not sure but I would give at least 15.oo for one....I believe <some> of the earlier Hoff's just said "Patent" on the shoulder...Same shaped bottle. Anyhow they're far from rare,...but cool bottles none the less.

The Hoff’s are very very common. $8.00 is top money and if shop around you will find one for half the price.
