"Berlin Series" Mystery continues. Gunther

HI folks, this is for anyone, but I know Matt collects Hartshorn bottles. Got this one today out of a river in north Mass. I think it is flint glass, but it is ribbed like a poison, with roped corners (sort of ). Anyone seen one of these? I have had the Hartshorn bottle that says Berlin Series, and would really like to learn what it is referring to.

That is an interesting early Hartshorn bottle. Berlin refers to Berlin Mass. where hartshorn first started making his medicines. He made a series of numbered remedies for different ailments. I would guess that one is from the 1860s.

I just posted a couple of Hartshorn's "Berlin bottles"... one has a full label and open pontil. The other is a large Family Medicines bottle.
