Best Find of The Year

Just found my best bottle of the year. A pontilled barrel ink. []

Super crude and whittled.

Found a few others today. It should be a good season.

Taz~I found that one today at a construction site lying in a puddle of slush. We got a bunch of other cool bottles too. A cobalt cone, Houlton ME Druggist, a painted Barber bottle and a couple Portland druggists. It's still a little frozen, once she thaws there should be plenty more.

The only listing I could find for one of those without a patent embossed on it is from Kovels' (2002)...

Is yours 2x2 inches? Listed at $121

Thanks Ron~ I was thinking that too. This one does measure 2x2. It's in good shape, although there is a tiny fisheye on the base edge.

I've got a table next weekend in Somersworth. You're setting one up right? If so I'll look for the Roman coins and stop over to say hello.

Nice bottle Maine! I have only seen those in books, and would really like to find one for myself someday. Great digs.

The Houlton med bottle - I'm guessing it's either a Cochrane, a Hatheway or maybe a French.
