How do I know if my Registed Biedenharn Vicksburg Miss was made before or after 1900??

The "registered" mark started in 1882, not sure how you could date it before or after 1900 though. Is there a maker's mark anywhere on the bottle, that might help...

It says root 471 on the bottom on the back but the base has nothing under it. It's definitely one of the originals just not sure if it's 1900 or 1894?

Hello Mitch, Welcome to this place. Please do put up several good photos of your bottles. If it's a Root, it's gotta be post 1901. Chapman Root didn't get his plant built until November, 1901. http://visions.indstate.edu:8888/cdm/ref/collection/vchs/id/576

Yeah that's what I thought! So what would a pre 1900 biedenharn have different then mine? Would it say something different than root or have other markings?

Just realized my mistake, MS0163 (Last one) does not have Root 471 on the heel & it is embossed B.C. So the root 471 is 1894? Or the B.C. Co is 1894?

Fr what I gather the bottles from the 1894-1899 are the same but do not say root 471 near the bottom but have B.C. Co on the bottom?

The B.C. Co on base is the one from 1894-1900 since it would be impossible to be from the Root Glass Co (Root 471). So yes, you are correct.
