The idea of brought by Kung is very valid. What would the need be? And damaging the bottle would be a real risk. With the time and more importantly the money of producing the bottle, why refire the pontil? Either or I enjoy the piece and the discussion. Thanks all. Here is a different shot of the pontil in question.

And lip. Is this American or English? I was leaning toward UK but I just post bottles I find and know little of thier origin etc.
