Hi everyone.
I have a brown Blue Ribbon bottle. I tried searching on the Internet but I can't find anything. Does anyone know anything about these? I make it to be from about the 40's or so, but does anyone know if these are less common than the clear ones? Value, if there is any?

Thanks [:)]

Brown or amber is not a common color for a milk bottle.
Most milk bottles are made of clear glass.
You might try to find out if it is a reproduction bottle.
If it isn't it may be worth quite a bit of money, if you decide to sell it.
I did a search on eBay and only found clear Blue Ribbon milk bottles.

Hi Woody,

Thanks for your reply. I don't believe its a repro, its got the Owens-Illionis glass mark on the base of the bottle and Duraglass, 53 on the bottom. On one side of the bottle, it says "The Amber bottle better protects the fine flavor and vitamin content of this quality product."

Do you happen to know about what range of value you think it could be?

Thanks again.

If it is original it may be worth at least $25.00 or more.
I did a search or eBay and didn't find any in amber colored glass.
The 53 probably denotes the year, 1953, that the bottle was made.
It's a good find.
I don't have any amber milk bottles.
