The dump could have been used for years and stuff piled up. There may be older bottles under the newer bottles, Or it's possible that they were late throws. I dig in a late 1960s-1970s dump and have found late throws. This is from my dump. From 1966.

This was also in the dump. C. 1850s. Keep digging, there's probably some good stuff in there.

Sometimes blobs were kept and reused through the 1920s-30s. Same with old stoneware. Keep at it!

Jake, can you post a picture of your Crystal Soda bottles? I have Crystal soda bottles from Rhode Island. It would be cool to see if they are similar or are totally different companies.

As for the mason jars, I hope you are keeping them. Even though they are common, people love to have them! You could set up a little yard sale on the weekend and make yourself some money with those.

Yes mason jars our very nice. Many people use them as decoration. The 1915 crock I found it was cracked so we use it as a flower pot . I have found many local sodas & dairy bottles. I will post a picture of the dissected bottle as soon as I can! Here is just a brief desciption . It is a early crown top bottle and aqua green glass it says in cursive script on the bottle Crystal soda water company Milwaukee. And near the base it says contents 7 1/2 fl ounces and c 27. It is quite heavy for such a bottle. Hope this helps !-Jake .
