Bottle info requested

Does anyone know what this bottle held or anything about the company that made it? I found it in an old farm dump with a huge variety of bottles from 1890’s-1950’s. The mark on the bottom is D71 inside a diamond and the number 8 outside the diamond. The bottle is 3 1/4” tall. Thx.
