Hey all. I started digging bottles back in Nov 09. Today I purchased 3 bottles, my first purchase, was kind of wondering if I did good on my purchase or not, I know the purchase is if your satisfied, but just curious. I purchased an amber Paynes Celery Compound for 15.00, an amber Dr J Hoostetter's Stomach Bitters for 6.00, and an amber A. McGinnis Company Baltimore Md for 5.00, all bottles in very good condition with the latter showing some irredescence. What is the A. McGinnis Company bottle? Thanks.

The paynes should run $5 to $10 but the Hostetter's was a deal and sells elsewhere for $10 to $15 more depending what the makers mark is on the base. Don't know the Mcginnis bottle.

I think you averaged out pretty well if the bottles are blown in mold. I can tell you that you couldn't buy a Paine's around here for $5.00 (or probably $10 either.) Maybe they are more common in other areas. I think Paine's is a nice looking bottle. If it's in nice shape I think you did just fine.
