Does anybody know what the ingredients for "Golden Eye Ointment"? I just ask because I know a person who was told to put a medicine actually containing gold dust in her eyes (this was in Pakistan or India, at least 20 years ago), and it ruined her vision for good. Maybe the same recipe is still around? [X(]

OOOOUCH! Gold dust can really scratch the eye up pretty good but it was probably the sacred rat pop or monkey pee or Budda knows what else. [&:]Tribal remedys form that area can really be dangerous.

Well done Tandy; coloured, pictorial lids are always terrific finds! and it should clean up a little better (with great care).

G'day

Ronvae (and others) re recipe/ingredients for Golden Eye Ointment.

The following weblink has an interesting article re Singleton's and their Golden Eye Ointment, including their recipe for the ointment (mostly beeswax and lard!?!).
