Is this ceramic or porcelain? I know nothing about these things , what years did they use these?

The insulator collecting hobby calls them Porcelain or irreverently "MUD". That type were made mid-20th century and are EXTREMELY common and cheap. I have boxes of them I want to get rid of. They really aren't worth keeping around. Sorry to be the bearer of sad news but if you like it then it IS worth something to you. To heck with the rest of us / me![;)][;)]
