Found two of these whiskeys in the attic of a house that was being demo'd a few years back... cool label, hand finished bottles. but no embossing or indication of who made it, leaving the 'bottled by' space blank was particularly annoying. Was going to post it here but never got around to it, then I found the answer at a yard sale a few weeks ago...

Chas. Lauber of Philadelphia. Hard to read on the crate, but I'm happy to have found it just the same..

Neat logo on the long side, but hard to see.

Bottle & crate reunited...still got to wonder who it was bottled by, though, and why they didn't want to admit it.

What often happens with attic labels is they get light hitting them over the years.
The label box area may have been filled in with red or blue ink and the sun bleached it.
The lithographed phart of the label holds up much better.
Just one possible explaination.
It also may have never been filled in.
Some of these branded liquers may have been distilled by one company and bottled by various bottlers.
