Can anyone give an opinion about these two bottles?

I have looked and looked at these two bottles and I can't figure it out. I've never seen the coke bottle before, and I have the pepsi bottle but the neck on mine is much shorter. They look like very early no return bottles from the 60's or 70's. I would guess that they are the same basic size because of the bottling machines they had to pass through. I also recall reading about the coke bottle as an early trial because it doesn't have the "coke" shape. It would be interesting to see if they were made by the same glass company. Scott

Your Pepsi... this morning I stumbled across numerous identical beers from the '60s--the short-neck no deposit kind. Suddenly, I found one that was identical but had a tall neck! It was with a date code for 1959. Perhaps yours just is a variation from a different year?

the coke is fairly common around here. I have a diet pepsi similar to the pepsi. I believe the pepsi is also fairly common, they date from to the 60' to early 70's.
