Did Clevenger make convincing pontils?
They made many repros in the early 1900's using original molds and 'old world' methods, so the pontils are exactly the same as found on stuff from the 1800's...

There he says it's a POSSIBLE Clevenger.. anyway if it came out of a TOC dump wouldn't that say something?

It does in fact look sick in the pictures he has posted but i have handled two identical ones, one is 15 dollars and it is still there. The pieces are older, so depending on the age of the dump it is possible, but there is no doubt that it is a clevenger piece.

It really isnt even a reproduction, it was made in their own mold, but it is definitly 1940's to 1950's. Clevenger made alot of neat stuff in their early days.

It still has value but its not an 1800's flask

I once had one just like this one and took it to bottle shows and was told it was a Clevenger's

I have seen one since in a green color...At least your's was free!I traded a mint large size orange colored WARNER'S SAFE RHEUMATISM BOTTLE!!! JAMIE
