That green quart with the eagle is really awesome! How common are those?

I know how you feel about the dump. There's tons of ash in my dump as well, and I certainly hate moving it, but looking back, I've found a lot of awesome bottles.

Wow Great finds. Wish i had a dump like that to complain about lol. Ive been trying to track a dump down for a while finally got all the info and contacted owner but he said no to digging. People in past have abused it by cutting his fences to sneak in and left gates open and let his animals out. He is going to meet with me and show me some stuff he has found hope he has some stuff he is willing to let go of ive been able to date it back to the teens so far.

If you go on the theory that every small town or village had a dump, then your bound to find virgin dumps.

Anyway thanks for posting the comments guys.

The Pilgrim with the Eagle are fairly common up here, but dark green with a blob top, not so much. And they used a wooden mold which leaves some nice whittling.

I think with all the construction on the Toronto waterfront, lots of bottles that used to be scarce, are now common.

But then we're not in TO, we're out in the boonies, finding these and other bottles is, for us, a treat

We tend to go deep into the ash, but when I think about it, most of our finds are in the first 3'.

So maybe we should go for length instead of depth, then it means moving trees and not ash!!
