Anyone on this board knowledgeable of such things? A friend of mine has found what appears to the Mount Everest of the category. Any thoughts or assistance would be most appreciated.

Details and/or pics of the bottle might trigger an informed answer.

A damn tough bottle. If its in good shape, it would be only the second or third known whole example of that bottle.

My research shows that it would the second. It is an attic mint example - from what I have seen the other intact example appears to have been dug and it shows heavy wear. Does the Canadian market support prices similar to the American market? If this were an American bottle of similar rarity it would be worth many thousands of dollars.

Depends what you consider "many" thousands.

For sure worth thousands here in Canada. How high it would go is the big question.

Where was the bottle found, any back story??

Found in a Rutland, VT house. Are there auction houses that specifically target the Canadian bottle buyers and/or do Canadian buyers follow the American absentee sales?

Your best bet would be to try a canadian auction, possibly "Mapleleaf Auctions" that would expose the bottle to the most collectors I think.

can you post a pic it be neat to see the bottle especially if its rare and has not been seen much before . i'm from canada but not an expert on such bottles . i'm sure it would do very well on ebay if it was marketed right .
generally toronto bottles have gone down in price as too many were dug up but if its only the second example its likely to have alot of value still . i'm sure someone will have to have it in there collection .
