I have a few of these bottles I've collected over the years and always wondered what they were used for . I've heard candies and perfume amongst other things I'm just not sure . So any help would be nice .
I was thinking something along those lines to . Kind of like in the 1700s and 1800s they used something like this to cover the bad smells when walking around the cities . But as you can see the bottles in question are I'm guessing here from the 50s . Now I have seen and bought a few that where labeled candies but I've yet to see one with any kind of label or candy in one . They come in many forums and slightly different shapes . I think they are very small for candy myself but who knows I guess . And if candy why the air holes on the lid ?for a secondary use maybe ?
I was thinking they're small for that also. I think you could move the date back 20-30 years too.
They're closer to personal salt and peppers but I don't see the need for a hang loop for that.
