Today i picked up a Light green, British beer bottle. it was embossed with " Clarkson's Old Brewery"and had an elephant and the words Barnsley Ltd on it. the peculiar thing about it is that it is an applied screw top but the threading is on the inside of the top. does anyone have any other info for me about this bottle? I'm sorry i dont have a photo as my camera is down for the moment. maybe aproximate age and value.

i wouldnt doubt that it has at least some value because of the elephant...i have heard that british glass blowing techniques were about ten years behind the U.S. "The company changed its name to Clarkson's Old Brewery (Barnsley) Ltd. in 1902" (from surface's link) I would guess the bottle was made somewhere between 1902 to 1915. Im no expert, especially on non U.S. bottles
