When Penn Digger ventured out here last summer he inwardly laughed (I'm sure) upon seeing my Warner's Safe Bottles shards in a glass container at the bottom of my window display. Well when I dug it up in pieces, I just couldn't see why it had to be broken so I kept it. Anyway, he thought I needed a Classic Commons Collection, I believe that is what he called it. And so the Bradford Buddies put this together for me. Thanks you guys!
A labeled Warner's Safe, Dr. S. S. Fitch, a Dr. H. A. Ingham's Nervine Pain Extr and the poor thing can't even stand up because the pontil pokes out too much (YEA!), Carter's Smart Weed, Piso's Cure, C. R. Gibson Salamanca N.Y., and a very cool amber side strap.

Hey Renee,

There's nothing common about that display, Renee! Looks great to me. That wonderful SCA C. R. Gibson Salamanca N.Y. is a great centerpiece. What's that petrified looking hound's head in the upper right all about?

More photos, please, sez I.

Sorry, got timed out to append a brief bit:

"C. R. GIBSON has resided in Salamanca several years. He built the opera house
in 1890, on the site of the one erected by FITTS & ANSLEY, and has recently
metamorphosed it into stores. He is a wholesale dealer in wines and liquors
and one of the substantial men of the village." From.

Well, I must say the Joe, Fred, and Tom certainly make dusting more enjoyable! Thank you guys again!

The petrified wood I picked up in the field this fall. It has a neat knot in it. I picked up way more rocks than I dug bottles this year because the ground was really hard, do to the lack of rain.

One of the first local to us whiskey flasks I ever dug was an amber "C.R. Gibson" ...still have it. It was a privy I was digging in, and I didn't even realize it way back then..[:)]

I never tire of the Warner Safe bottle's, I don't care how common they are.
