I dug this nice 6 oz. Orange Crush last weekend and was surprised at the color, because I have only remembered seeing them in amber. It has the Pat'd July 20 1920 date. From what I gather, these were only produced for a short time in the 1920's. What is the rarity on these?

In general, very common. However, if you collect things by city, as some do, there are some cities that are difficult to find bottles from. What city is on the bottom? bottlingco

There's no city stamp, just an "R" in a triangle. You're right mike - It's certainly welcome in my collection! catches the sun nice too.....Thanks guys!

farmerdan,
There ia a bottle from your area that I am looking for. It has a painted label and has some sports pictures such as a racket, etc. on the front. It is called Island Club, I think. If you have one, or find one, in good condition, shoot me an e-mail. Thanks, and welcome to the forum. bottlingco

farmerdan -

I don't know that date ranges but the colorless ones like the one you found are not particularly rare, and the amber ones are more expensive (rare), and the green ones are even more expensive than that. There are also amber ones that have a small diamond-shaped paper label, instead of a label in glass like yours, that are perhaps the least expensive of all.

The R in a triangle means Reed Glass, one of the makers of these bottles.

These bottles come in various sizes in addition to the different colors, and have some interesting variations in design as well, making them fun to collect.
