Coke.
Appears that is the brand. Not Coca Cola as the bottle is far older than CCC's trademark and use.
Share what you know.

The other stuff is recent additions...a couple with frost and the Tri County that was in the forum a while back.
In the diplay the glass is sleightly pinkish, not the clear or grayish of it's peers in the display.

However, I'm real curious about how displeased CCC must have been when they found it.
Thanks

Location
Mableton, Ga.
Coke early on did not like to be referred by the single word coke, they wanted the full name Coca Cola. Too close to Dope which a lot of people used when ordering a Coke. They would also sue anyont that they thought was infringing on their name. About 1964 they trademarked or registered the name Coke.

Seriously?
Not one of the expert collectors here knows anything about a brand named Coke?

The bottle is pre deco era...early machine made.
It's only marking are as follows: around the shoulder it says Coke four times.
Around the heel it states PROPERTY OF
CADDO BOTTLING WORKS

No other markings whatsoever.
This is not a Coca Cola bottle. Appears to be a knock-off brand...
So, what is it?
Thanks

Hey Grant,

Caddo Bottling Works was from Shreveport. In looking around a little, I found that Zehntner Biedenharn was also a resident of Shreveport. Tantalizing, eh?

Tantalizing...indeed.
So I might take this as a slap at the Biedenharn's or Coco Cola Corporate...in your face.
They (Coca Cola) eschewed the use of Coke for along time and loathed to have their product called 'Dope' or 'Coke'.
Some enterprising fellow named his brand Coke...and not a thing CC could do about it because they had no prior use, the names ARE distinctively different (at least Caddo BW did'nt use the word cola...which early CC seemed to often claim was propriatiary, and that their use was unique...which it wasn't). And, to make it sweeter, right in the backyard of the Biedenharn's.

Reminds me of when Miller Brewing began suing other brewers over their introduction of 'Light' beers...they thought their use of 'Lite' would proclude other from using 'light'. Twas banging their heads against a wall as they had no standing for the word light, a generic term to describe beer. By using 'lite' instead of 'light' they had cut their nose off to spite their face.

I'll try and get a better photo of the Coke, or two, up when I can.

And, to those that have asked...this bottle is not for sale. Thanks.

The Coke bottle another view.
The Coke is repeated four times.

The bottle has: PROPERTY OF CADDO BOTTLING WORKS on one side just above the base. That's it. No other clues.

And, did you not begin a sub-set of green embossed each state?
Did you ever gain all? Did you get an Arkansas?

I ask because I currently have traders/sellers of the two most desireable greens: Aunt Ida from Dumas and Razorback Ginger Ale from Fayetteville.
