Just found one of these I could afford! Wanted one for a long time.
This is a 1950's 'hook-on' attachment for a shopping cart.
Might be fun to bring this along while shopping with the wife and see what people think.
That is really a great find. Now I have some coke stuff, but nothing foots the bill like that!
I double dare you to take it to the grocery store with your wife....
I luv being funny like that...[]
I would.....
Have a litle fun with it..
I Luv it! star[]
Thanks, Star!
You caught me at just the right moment for those YouTubes. Nice.
(Someone at work today who I've known for years suddenly responded
to something that I said or did with "Holy Cow! You're a hippie! Not
quite accurate, but no doubt that blessings, love, stars, fun, and peace
are good things.)
Please refer to my new '7up Carrier...' topic and let me know what you
think. I'm thinking that this carrier with the green and white bottles with
white flowers appropriately stuck in them would make a nice floral gift
or centerpiece. Bob ( :
Yep, I've always loved these things too! As I kid, I remember this old grocery store nearby that still had one of these on one of their carts. It always intrigued me and I'd ask my Mom over and over what it was for. This was in the early 1980s! This was one of those old stores that had wooden shelves and faded cans of food in the windows. Sadly in the mid-80s, someone bought it and everything in it disappeared overnight. I always wished I could have gotten the carrier.
But, as the saying goes, what was old is new again. Do you guys remember about 10 years the plastic Coke holders coming out that attached to the carts? Our stores had them for just like one summer before they disappeared. Didn't last long.
Oh, I dug out a prototype shopping basket that had the holders built in. How cool is this?
