My first attempt at posting photos, had to figure out how to resize the images, hope this works. Need any info. that Philadelphia collectors can provide on this bottle. Dug in Los Angeles about 10-12 years ago. Embossed "J.C. BREIDENHART / PHILA." and in a form similar to a hock wine. Graphite pontil and kind of a Lockport green color, 12" tall. I have not been able to find anything about this bottle, and due to the odd shape, not sure what it contained. Wine bottles were usually not embossed, but could be. Maybe some sort of cordial, perhaps bitters?

Hello Dennis,

Here's his listing from the 1863 Philadelphia Directory.

"Breidenhart, John C., wine mer, 123 Walnut, h 1905 Chestnut"

He was at 216 S. front St. in then 1861 Directory.

"Breidenhart John C, liquor merchant, 216 S Front,
h 1905 Chestnut"

He was listed as a "merchant" in the 1855 McElroy's.
"Breidenhart John C, merchant, 115 S Front, h
Chestnut W 19th"
