Location
The great state of New England
Milford is on the other side of the state from me. If it was on the eastern side I would have a better chance at finding one for you. But I will keep looking. Good luck.

Stumpknocker ~

You may already be familiar with the following website. If not, check it out. It focuses exclusively on Hutchinson bottles. It has a lot of interesting information and side-links that may be of help to you and others. The link I am posting goes directly to a list of the total number of known and catalogued hutch bottles across the United States. It indicates 282 different ones for Connecticut alone, and a total of 16,268 nationwide. Be sure to click on their home page and various other options.

I hope you and others find this of interest.

This illustration is from the website and shows an extremely rare amber Perkin's Root Beer from Bristol, Conn.

This is also from the website. Which I thought was most interesting because I have never seen a photo of someone actually drinking from a hutchinson bottle. I find it amusing, if not down-right strange looking. [:D]

Five photographs and one ad picturing Hutchinson Stopper Bottles.
#1 Detail of a pic of a boys baseball team A couple of other boys also held Hutches.
#2 #3 #4 Detail of a picnic showing a dozen or more Hutches, several with a pretzel hanging from the stopper. Photo quality is so good I can read the embossing on the Hutch bottles: J. H. FETT & SON / READING, PA. Rated Scarce in the Hutch Book. Most of the adults were drinking beer.
#5 Detail of a pic showing two women pouring from Hutch bottles to glasses. Orange trees in the background. Came from a San Diego CA estate.
#6 Carrier for vendors at sporting events. I love the Hutchinson Opener. Has anyone ever seen one of these?

Right on! Can you imagine drinking from a hutch with that wire-stopper-deal in your mouth? [] Maybe that's why mugs were so popular and abundant back then.

I been picking them up for awhile. I finally decided to put them out for sale at the show this weekend. I have some other great original soda photos too.
