I picked up this copper plated jar at an auction today. WINTERGREEN label on the front. "WINTG" stamped on the handle. The funnel slides up and down the neck, but does not come off. I'm assuming some kind of apothecary dispensing bottle? Any ideas on age and where it originated?
Thanks.

the copper funnel thingy was soldered to the rim at one time, and it is a portable spittoon, easily carried and the wintergreen kept the smell down.........Andy
