What is the material that they were wrapped in?
And can we see the place in the wall it came from?

This is really very very strange. A kids arm bone and this 'pendant'.....? You did say this place was from 1700 something.....could it be witchcraft associated? Interesting idea.....

CREEEEPPPYYYYYY.

I did a few quick searches and only came up with your inquiry on that appraisal site. I figure those figurals gotta have some significance beyond simple adornment.
Creepy looking wall too! GADS! I hope that's the only bone ya find!

Not cool, I was hoping that somebody would tell me that it's a completely normal tradition to put bone and pendants in a foundation lol...but in my head I knew it wasn't...

That is slightly unsettling. My thoughts is its a Native American Pendant. It looks more design than numbers to me. 2nd sounds weird but look into a medium possibly, my house growing up was definitely haunted. Could you show a picture of the wall where you found it. There may be more in other areas.

My guess would be it was put there to ward off evil spirits. I really have no idea, but that is what comes to mind.

Very interesting about Native American possibilities...our home is actually on land that one of The Nipmuc tribes had settled near...interesting....

Maybe they built your house inna middle of an old burial grounds and what you found is some of the items that didnt get removed when they did your foundation walls. probably dont have anything to do with your house at all[:)]
