depression glass owl's ?

hi everyone, pick these up last sun. they are 6"tall, embossed on base m in a circle (md. glass co.). any ideal of age or value would be appreciated. thanks for looking, rhona

Owls? Did someone say Owls?

This auction doesn't have any info about age or maker of the cobalt owls, but it's all I could find. Morgantown Glass also used the M in a circle on some items.

Found some pieces in a 1920s dump. Makes my wife nuts to find broken cobalt.

hi tcngal and warren , thanks for looking. tncgal do you know what time period morgentown glass used this mark. warren, i dug a broken cobolt pig bank once. i was heart broken on that one. thanks rhona

Hi, is there a chance it's a "W". They look like something Wheaton may have made and W in circle was a mark used from '46>.

Rhona, I'm not sure about the time period that mark was used by Morgantown. They were in business 1899-1971 under various names (Morgantown, Economy) and then purchased by Fostoria in 1965. Here's another good link for glassmarks that you might want to bookmark.

hi madpadala, thanks for looking. i had to take a pic. outside so color would show. i did find out they are md. glass co.. they also made a fish and a couple of other figurals. but i forgot what jim said they where. most of what they made, was colbolt. rhona
