did I buy a repro?

Why did you think it was a repro? Did the person you bought it from say they thought it was a repro? I'm quite sure it is an authentic flask, 1860s or so. The price is about right for that flask, i think. I think I sold had one a ways back and it sold for about that much.
I've never dug one though, not even a shard!

A big ole bitters in a really light amber....an old top, cup, tea pot lid, slick, and something that would have been cool some type of cruet maybe.

Thats what I was saying too.....I've dug three broken ones and findly bought one. ...I thought I did alright...wasn't sure...their very hard to find where I'm at....

seems for some reason we find mostly sodas and medicines here in Eastern Pa privvy. we were talking about that the other day. very few historical flasks or bitters..............wonder why..........

Not bad and definately not a repo it appears to have came from mother earth.
My first....Historical Flask.....bought it but i'm sure i'll dig one sooner rather than later. It's a numbers game!

Your right its a numbers game last year we didn't dig any complete Historical Flasks. So far this year we have found 5 A Washington Taylor half pint, a pint Spring Garden Glassworks, two half pint Pittsburgh Double Eagles, and a pint Eagle Flag For Our Country. You never know whats in the next privy. You just have to keep digging them.

i'm glad i didn't pay to much.....we all would rather dig one but hec buying bottles is just another part of the hobbie.
I am usually buying and selling to build up a kitty that gives me leway so i don't have to spend money for the house, car or girlfriend....if i ever get another one....lol
I get the same excitement and boing diggin a good bottle it never yalls back
