Dietetic Dr Pepper

Not as cool as McDirt's recent old old old one, but kind of interesting. I'm told that this stuff was only made for a few months at some point in the 70's. The word 'dietetic' didn't go over well so they dropped it. This was before the manufacturers and their ad agencies figured out that they could put the word 'diet' in front of any soda name and sell tanker-trucks full of it! Bob

Nice bottle and I agree they were short lived and fairly scarce or at least here in West Tenn. bob

I also like the fact that this stuff contains both saccharin and cyclamate. Could have posted it in the 'poison' section!
