Druggist or pharmacist bottles can be any bulk chemical or acid container ,some times they'll be labeled with the contents. A prescription bottle on the other hand is usually small bottles which had the medicine for the person who needs it. Many if these bottles had paper labels but quit a few were embossed with the druggist address . These are the bottles most look for.

I consider them a little differently. In my opinion, druggist/pharmacist bottles are the ones that have the pharmacist's or pharmacy's name on them. The bulk containers are what I call apothecary bottles. I think of medicine bottles as patent medicine bottles, generally having the name of the medicine/remedy/cure on the bottle. Maybe it's these differences of opinion that explains the differences you've heard of.

Druggist/pharmacist bottles are essentially the same thing. So the left and center are both druggist/pharmacist bottles, but the center would have been label only. The one on the right is medicine, yes.And then an apothecary bottle would be like this:

Hmmmm. It would be nice to see an example of a chemist.

Aren't chemist bottles the ones with the chemical elements embossed on the side, and the ones with the drip-type stoppers?
