Have not had much luck finding information on this bottle and would appreciate some help. Would guess it's a wine bottle but I don't have knowledge in this area. I found this as a child on family farm north of Springfield IL where there has been a house since 1870's.
Bottle is 12 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" diameter. There are some bubbles in glass and looks spun especially around neck where there are some faint rings.
Does anybody have idea on what it was used for and date range?

No, it MAY have held BITTERS at one time, which I doubt, but that bottle should be referred to as a "Bulge Neck". True "Ladies Leg" bottles are those that have a neck as long as its body. Much more slender in the "leg" area. Some will refer to this one as a "Ladies Leg" but in my opinion they are incorrect.

Just happen to come across in a book when looking for something else. Looked similar.
