I know Benjamin's Jamaican Healing Oil is still produced today (I found it online), but I found this bottle this morning an it looks old. On the front it says "Benjamin's Jamaican Healing Oil", on the side it says "R.A. Benjamin, Chemist" and on the other side it says "Kingston, JA" (assuming Kingston, Jamaica). The bottle looks to hold about 3 oz. and is about 6 inches tall. Is it old? I was not sure if this was pre- or post- 1900 so I posted on both forums. Thanks!

This bottle looks like a TOC (turn of the century-1900) specimen to me. One way to know if it is more recent is to check if the seam goes all the way to the top of the lip, which would mean it is machine-made, definitely after 1905.. the methods used for bottle making might have lagged behind the times a bit in Jamaica, IF that's where it was made..
By the way, just so you know, it is sufficient to make your post in just one forum, even if it is not an exact match for the forum category.. we will find it! [:)] -Charlie
