if you had a $375 offer on that bottle I would think you would have wanted to put a reserve on it for that amount?

Are you going to sell the other James bottle too?
Let me know, I would be interested in it.

From the early interest, I would guess that you will surpass that offer easily. If I could collect anything beyond jars I'd certainly bid on it. Nice bottle! George

Thanks for the bid GuntherHess. A reserve? Well, the FIRST time I setup the auction I had the reserve at 375. I also messed up on my photo submittal. So the second attempt I got the pics right, by somehow forgot the reserve. By the time I realized it bids were already on it. Hope your right georgeoj. Ill just keep my fingers crossed! I am selling the other Dr. H James. I might be able to get it posted here this morning. Have a good day. Chris

If you had an error in your listing you can pull it and relist it, even if there are bids.
When you go to end it, you select 'ended because of error in the listing'.
When you relist you should explain in the listing that there was an error.
I have seen a lot of people make errors , its pretty common if you havent done hundreds of auctions. The system can be pretty confusing. Using turbo lister helps avoid a lot of errors but they still happen to me after listing more than 1000 auctions.
Its up to you really.

GuntherHess has given a more rational suggestion than my earlier one. With the economy as it is there is no way to predict what will happen in any auction. I did protect a rare jar that I recently offered and was glad that I did. The jar made just half of my reserve. George

I was not advising you one way or another on your auction. I'm simply saying you have options if you make an error.

Great job Chris, i see ramjet8356 won your auction. You got an awesome price for that, I would never have guessed it would have went that high, especially with the minor damage. I have recorded prices of 770,588, 510, 760 all in 2006, but I think they were all pontiled. I have prices of 322, 455, 405 in 2007, and 215 and 311 in 2008, so overall, I think yours was a very fair price.
Congratulations
Bill

you got an amazingly high price considering the lip was chipped. I assume the buyer wasnt a bottle collector and was high as a kite[;)] Hopefully they wont try to pay in mushrooms.
