Here are some pictures of the finds from Saturday when I took a trip down to see my buddy in Pottsville, PA to do some digging. He said he found a small bootleg pit out in the woods that was worth checking out so we dug it. It ended up being 2 feet deep and about 12x12 feet wide. The best bottle was a yellow Deegan squat that I pulled out. We also dug about 5 other Pottsville beers along with a Newark, NJ tall blob and a broken Philadelphia squat. It was a nice easy dig that turned out to have a rare bottle.

Would you share with me the embossing on the Newark blob, please? Thanx!

The squat had water in it so it looks like a crack in the pic but it’s not. The bottles is a beauty and it’s mint.

The NJ blob on the other hand does have some bruises but here is a pic of the slug plate for you cyberdigger.

No problem. It was cool to dig the Dundee because neither of us had ever dug a whole one before.

Nice one, Tom. I love the color on those. I just dug my first Dundee jar a few months ago as well. As common as they are, it's odd that we don't dig more of them.. ~Jim

Beendiggin, I let my friend keep the bottle because he collects Pottsville stuff but I will have him take a pic of it in the next few days and send it to me.

Thanks Jim. You are right about the Dundee jars too. Even though they are common, I have only found shards of them until now.
