this bottle was found a few days ago, looks handblown.12&1/2in tall. Seal reads: E. PERNOD couvet pontarlier.found this was an absinthe bottle which was made in france. is this bottle collectable or common. I can only find information on the beverage (absinthe) and full bottles of the stuff, I would like a bottle hunters take on this or if anyone can help me on an exact date? thanks - eric

Eric:

Looks like a common wine here. But boy do the folks in Europe go crazy when you put one on ebay. They (3 buyers) were interested in it...even if it would cost $30 in shipping. Anyway sold it to someone here in the states for $5 on ebay. One last note is that if you sell or move the bottle....wrap the seal..they are vulnerable to breaking. Thats what one of the Europe dudes said. Anyway hope this helps.
