If you had to guesstimate an approximate worth on these two bottles, what would you say it was?

It looks like he, or she has nuked the bottles.....
They could be real though..

They have a special light they put it under that reacts with the chemicals in the glass.
Its like SCA, Sun colored amethyst.
The bottle might be real, but not always the color. I see a lot of these at flea markets. Brighter colors, higher prices...

Some bottles contain magnesium, and when the bottles are exposed to radiation, they turn dark purple.
After a while they fade to an ugly brownish purple. I consider nuked bottles, ruined bottles.
To properly color amethyst bottle you should leave it in the sun and let it darken naturally.

Thank you. I was under the impression that they were defects when they were made.

light coloring isnt too bad but dark color was probably acheived by exposure to sterilization equipment.
It ruins the bottle for many collectors.

BTW its manganese just for the record...

I should have asked before buying these....Did you happen to read the description for these and in your opinion, do you see where I, being a newbie, would think this was something that happened by accident fro the manufacturer or naturally, making them really rare? I feel so stupid!
