Ecourse Michigan Dig

Last week I dug with Tom(Treasure Hunt) down near Detroit in Ecourse Michigan. We dug a deep wood liner, about 8 feet deep. Full of ash, lots of broken bottles and dishes. We ended up getting some nice things and some interested pottery to glue back together sometime. The pit was probably from the 1890's. The attached photo is what I took home, most of the bottles left in the pick, I left with Tom. We are looking at getting out again later this week to dig a few more that Tom found in the area.

Here is Tom down in the pit moving dirt, notice how close we are to the garage and fence. Part of the privy was under the garage and part went into the neighbors yard.

Here is a nice Howe and Schultz quart beer from Wyandotte Michigan that came out of the pit, it was under the tree stump.

Hey bottle bob, yes that is a gargling oil. We dug two that day.

Thanks for the post. I'm always interested about the digging up in Detroit. It's a big city, and you never seen bottles from Detroit, old ones. Glad you had a good dig, cool pix, thanks for posting

id like to guess that the one rocky is talkin about is a hundai janos which is an eastern european mineral water with cocaine in it. thats what it looks like to me.
