Finally got out to dig once since the monsoon rains in NE Pa. departed. Still could'nt get to the spot I wanted to dig, It's five feet under water. We moved to the so called newer end of the dump and were finding local rare milks and quite a variety. Since they seemed to fizzle away on us. It took me about 4hrs to get to the bottom, discusted and worn the few crowns that i threw away because of dinks and cracks just would break the ice. About 1/2 hour before I quit I stumbled on this hugh jar, almost thirteen inches tall. Why it wasn't cracked or broken was simply amazing. Twelve feet down and surrounded by hugh rocks. Hopefully this will get me out the dry spell I was having. Any info on the jar?

That seems to be a different varient than what is listed in the Red Book of Fruit Jars #9.

I would write to them and send a picture for future reference.

There is one described in the Red Book for $20-30, but its different. I know its very rare to find something that hugh in this dump where I'm digging. I was told it was a pond years ago. It's about twelve feet deep and retains the water real well. Finds were terribly slim for the last three or so outings, so It made my day when I saw it was embossed.

Atadump:

Either way that is real nice. Huge, embossed, and in a dump of broken stuff no less. It's size is amazing. Looks nice in the window huh. Alittle more research could prove it more valuable than you think. I would most def. say more than $20. Madpaddla
