I went to the Houston show today, and it is was much better than the last time I went. I thought I was going to leave empty handed, but by a stroke of luck I bought two bottles I did not own from a box that was not even out for sale from a dealer friend of mine. Three came from a close friend of mine that has been collecting for many years.

First is a bottle from my collector friend. A nice big whiskey shape Tonique The San Antonio Tonic. MINT MINT MINT!! Has some nice bubbles, and a mold repair with spot welds on the AN of San on both sides. I have wanted one of these for a while. If anyone happens to come across an amber one please let me know.

Next is a fairly uncommon Tobin's Liver Medicine from Austin Texas. It is a pretty early bottle, but is a bit sick. It would tumble nicely, but I like it as is. It came from the show today.

This one is a bottle from Bill Agee's collection. It is a fairly common shape, but is very rare. Queen City was Mr. Agee's home town.

Now for the really good ones. This one came from the show. It is from a druggist from Austin Texas that I never knew made any patent meds. It is really early by Texas standards, nice crudity, great condition, and very rare. I love the name also.

This is the best one by far. The person I got this from has had it for many many tears, and it has been seen by most the big Texas collectors. None have ever seen another like it. What perplexes me is I cannot find a mold seam on the bottle to save my life. I am not sure what the company truly did, but it sounds pretty nasty. Colored meds from Texas are rare, but this one I do not think any of us will ever see a match too. It is also pretty early in our context.

If anybody knows what this type of company did please let me know, and if it is not too much trouble drop me a comment. The last time I posted Texas meds only one person had anything to say. I love talking bottles, and I like making new friends. Thanks for looking, and have a great weekend!!

Brad

Thanks I appreciate it. Now if I could start adding bottles to my collection at the rate you do I would be a happy camper!
