OKI've decided (as inspired by Utility Man's cylinders) to start a "color run" of my own. I've chosen 1870's .. 80's seam-sided straight-lipped coffin flasks (not embossed) with crudity.I think I might stick with light shades, not sure. My question is what color to call the middle flask in this little "starter" lineup? Thanks, Ron [attachment=Captureasdfad.JPG]

I'd call it 'lime yellow' as it holds a tint of lime green with an off-lemon yellow. But it could just be my screen distorting colors... Nonetheless, that's a heck of a color.

Looks like a Citron yellow/green color. There are probably lots of different names for that color, but it is a beautiful bottle! You could add a nice amber color to it, maybe even a puce...[:)]

I agree with this assessment but add that in-hand inspection by 12 seasoned collectors will give you at least 15 color "Names" and a lot of arguing. Ah! a fun day of discussing color! []
