Hey Folks !
Got out to a field for some arrowhead hunting and ended up walking into the woods and found a dump that had some nice age to it. Took my Dad back and took our diggers . Found alot of old stuff but it was all broken. Looks like someone had dug it years ago possibly. Was wondering if anyone can I.D. or has a picture of what this jar would have been? A heartbreaker for sure. The good news is that as we opened up a couple of holes in the dump Dad said lookie here and there in his hole laid a nice arrowhead. A few minutes later he found another one. Somebody tossed them out with the trash about 160 years ago. Both are very nice Flint Ridge material . We also found a few in the field on our way back to the dump. I found one that has a cool pattern on it like a cow. Never found one quite like it before. Anyway , if anyone has a picure of a jar with a iron pontil and a lip and color like this I sure would like to see it. Just killing me to find out what it looked like.
