I dove a new river down in Mass a few days ago. I had been in the water, working my way upstream, and I decided to work my way back to the car, floating downstream. I had left my dive basket floating back about 200 yards near the where the car was parked, and i had found a dozen or so "ebay bottles", crown tops, tooled top clear stuff mostly, and had them in a couple of plant pots that I had found along the way underwater. So I floated with the fast current, with one pot under each arm, and looked down at the riverbed as I floated maybe 3 feet above it. Suddenly, in the middle of the river, I saw the base of this beauty sticking up out of the sand! I dropped all the bottles I had under my arms, and stabbed my hand down into the sand to snag it !

The base is awesome, with a mega sharp pontil, and a cool starburst type pattern on the base. I have a shard which is a full base piece of one of these inks on the shelf in my office. I've always lusted over it and wanted to dig one of these, so it was a special find !

Feelin pretty happy about this one. I feel like I've been blessed with some amazing treasures, and the luxury of having the good health, and time to go hunt them down. I'll be fondling this bottle late into the wee hours of the night :)

Lots of dumps, privies and dive sites to find and dig out there. Make it happen!

All for now

Talk about lightning striking twice! Two geometrics in one lifetime really is a blessing, those are one of those bottles diggers can't even imagine ever digging when they start out. Congrats and get back to that spot quick.
