Paul, it was in the middle of the river, but I pretty much assume everything I find is pretty much washout from the banks. People just wheelbarrowed their trash, or privy slop down to the river and dumped it. It sank into the silt. Then every so often a big flood strafes away a piece of the bank, and spreads the trash along the bottom.
Pretty hit or miss, I've been hitting good lately. Like any type of digging, you better enjoy the journey, cause there's usually no treasure at the end.

It's the large size geometric ink! I have the smaller size which i dug 8 years ago.
