For some reason mid production plates from NH aren't worth what Maine and certain other states are. The very early NH stuff holds good value.
This is the first "non-resident" I have ever seen though.

There is NO DOUBT that the non-resident plates are much more valuable that the regular plates. They didn't make as many of them (duh? lolol). They are worth some decent $, especially the un-dug ones that are mint to near mint.

In my opinion, anyone that actually digs one has made a SUPER find. I think I have dug close to 40 porcelain enamel NH # plates over the last 10 years. None of them were non-resident.

I see people on ebay trying to sell the regular (common) plates on ebay for $60-$80 a piece. Very rarely do they even sell. I put mine up there for $30-$40 and they are gone in about 1 hour. I think I have made my point. Collectors are not foolish. They know when something is over-priced. It is interesting to watch though.

Just so we stay regional and close to the topic,...here's one we found in a barn....Must have got hung there when someone relocated here. 1924 Maine plate.[;)] As you can see, stamped,...not porcelain.

You guys know that these can be restored to new condition by the right people.
The guy who bought my early Maine plate restores them. Not sure how, but it can't be too hard.

Great news about the dump, could be some good late throws at the bottom!

Here's a dug com plate from 1915, a bit rough but still a keeper, it was down deep probably 8'. Great plate resource link by the way, thanks!
