After work today I check out a lot in Detroit where they just tore down a old dilapidated house. As usuall I go straight to the back where the Bottles like to hang out. Found a few old Broken shards but them seen some funny looking ceramic looking square block in the dirt. Curious, I pick it up to find this Oddball Inkwell. Dug tons of Inks but never one like this. Anybody know anything about it? any info? Thanks, Leon.

Cool. Something to be said about the quality of the pigment after so many years. Is it normal for the hole to go thru?

That's a heart breaker ! But curious also about the hole in the base. Does it go all the way through? If so def not an ink, but possibly a candle holder with advertising. If the hole does not connect with the upper hole then very possible that it is an ink and very rare! I was going to also say a pen holder but it has the pen rest at the top.
